What Netflix does better than us
- **It is built into the player**: resume is second-accurate, with nothing to tick. No external tool can match that.
- **Zero effort**: nothing to maintain, nothing to enter, it just works.
- If Netflix is your only subscription, the question honestly does not arise.
Where Netflix falls short
- It only knows Netflix: shows watched elsewhere do not exist, and neither does the total.
- A show leaving the catalogue takes your progress with it — the most frustrating case, and a frequent one.
Netflix is the right pick if…
One subscription, no desire to maintain anything: keep 'My List', it is the right tool. Adding a tracker on top would be work for nothing.
