Terms of Service

WatchTrail is a free TV show and movie tracking service: watch history, ratings, reviews, lists, calendar, notifications, watch-order universes, games, and imports from TV Time, Trakt, Simkl, IMDb and Letterboxd. By creating an account, you accept these terms.

You are responsible for access to the email inbox / social accounts you use to sign in. An account is personal. You can delete it at any time from your profile.

WatchTrail sets no minimum age. A minor uses the service under their parents' responsibility; parents can ask for the account to be deleted at contact@watchtrail.app. The catalog also contains adult works: only the "For the family" mood of "What to watch?" filters by age rating. Details are in the privacy policy, under "Minors".

Your reviews, comments, public lists and other contributions remain yours. By publishing them you allow WatchTrail to display them within the service. Illegal, hateful or defamatory content, harassment, sexual or shocking content and spam are prohibited — there is zero tolerance. Every review, comment, list and profile can be reported, and any member can be blocked from their profile. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours: content reported by several members is hidden in the meantime, then removed if it breaks these rules, and its author's account may be suspended.

Metadata and images come from The Movie Database (TMDB). WatchTrail uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability ("Where to watch") comes from JustWatch via TMDB and is indicative only. Some blog articles use information from TheTVDB, with a visible attribution at the end of the article.

Some blog posts (the weekly digest) are drafted with AI assistance from real data (TMDB, service statistics), then reviewed and approved by a human before publication.

The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability or accuracy. We do our best, but WatchTrail may change, be interrupted or evolve. Remember to export your data regularly.

These terms may change; the date at the top prevails. Users will be notified in the app of any major change.
