From September 21 to 27, 2026, three seasons open, one season finale lands and four shows keep going mid-season. Les Simpson and American Horror Story are among the returns, a few days apart.
Shows to watch this week
A new anthology season gets going: American Horror Story launches season 13 on September 24 on Disney Plus. In the opener, Ben — fresh from a near-death experience — takes on hospice care for a mysterious client in an eerie penthouse. The show is rated 8.1/10 on TMDB.
Les Simpson follow three days later, on September 27, with the first episode of season 38 — the thirty-eighth — again on Disney Plus. A British children's book author comes to Springfield to give a talk at the elementary school; Homer is tasked with picking her up from the airport, and things go bad from there.
On Amazon Prime Video and TF1+, Dear You opens season 2 on September 26. Mind the format: all ten episodes drop on the same day, this is not a weekly release. A good moment to pick the thread back up in one sitting if you left the first season aside.
On September 21, Futurama is at episode 9 of season 11 on Disney Plus: a time-machine failure sends Fry sideways in time, into a medieval land. Same day, same platform, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues season 18 with episode 7, as Mac and Charlie sink into a conspiracy theory over one mystery: why *Gilligan's Island* never reached a hundred episodes. Futurama sits at 8.4/10.
Other releases this week
Has Fallen continues season 2 on Canal+ with S2E3, on September 21: Zara warns her superior that there is a mole inside MI6, and when he is murdered she becomes the prime suspect. In Benghazi, Vincent and Rachel prepare their escape.
Slow Horses returns on September 23 on Apple TV with S6E2: the return of Frank Harness and a run of suspicious deaths put Lamb and his team on alert.
Ending this week
Ludwig closes season 2 on September 24 with S2E6: a death that strikes close to home points every lead towards one suspect, and the question is whether Kemper made a wrong move. One episode to settle the season, with nothing dated beyond it. Worth noting for French viewers: the show airs on BBC One and no French platform currently carries it.
